A shooting incident on Sunday morning in Belize City has left two people injuried.

The victims have been identified as Paul Sambula, Jr., 18 and Roy Bennett, 26.  Bennett was injured to the right side, while Sambula was shot to the back and right hand.

According to a police report, Sambula and Bennett went to a shop at the corner of Fabers Road and Nurse Finsley Crescent where they were approached by two men of dark complexion on separate bicycles.

Of the assailants reportedly used a black handgun to fire several shots at Sambula and Bennett injuring them. Both of the victims are admitted to ward at the KHM is stable condition.

The police investigations continue.
