Man accused of raping 8 year old niece goes on the run

The 3 year old girl in Bullet Tree Falls village is not the only minor to be sexually assaulted in the last few days.  In Bella Vista village, Stann Creek, a man is accused of raping his 8 year old niece.

The rape is reported to have happened on Saturday evening.  The girl, according to police, had gone to her aunt’s house around 5 pm on Saturday, February 1, to get flour tortilla to eat.

That was when her uncle reportedly arrived and started kissing her and then raped her.

Police say that a medical examination of the girl confirmed that she was carnally known. Police are now looking for the uncle pending charges.
