KIMBERLY LOCKE Reporting: Police in San Pedro town are reporting that a 9 millimetre firearm was stolen in a burglary earlier this week.

The owner of the firearm, 35 year old Eric Andrews, told authorities that on Monday night, he went to retrieve his licensed 9 millimetre firearm from a safety box in his bedroom.

But when he arrived at his home, Andrews told police that he found the safety box damaged and open and the firearm and two magazines with 26 live rounds of ammunition were nowhere to be found.

Police are investigating this case of burglary.
