Human remains found on a farm in Orange Walk

MARIA NOVELO Reporting: Police in Orange Walk are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found early this morning.

The decomposed remains were discovered around 7:30 this morning on a farm along the Guinea Grass/Shipyard road.

Caretakers of the farm made the gruesome discovery and alerted the police. Because of the advanced state of decomposition, the identity of the man could not be readily ascertained.

A cause of death has also not been determined as yet.

According to police, a post mortem examination is scheduled for tomorrow at the site where the remains were found. Orange Walk police are now working with the family of a man who was reported missing previously to see if it could be him.
