ORANGE WALK BUREAU Reporting: Women from the rural areas of Orange Walk today participated in a self esteem booster training as part of activities for Women’s Month.

The month of activities, organized by the Women’s Department, got underway on Saturday.

Chief facilitator at today’s training session which focused on communication was community activist Myrna Manzanares.

According to Manzanares, when she returns for the follow up session next week, the women will deal with the issue of conflict and anger.

The observance of Women’s Month is designed to put the spotlight on women’s role and participation in the development of the country.

Since the first observation of Women’s Month in Belize, a lot has changed for women in terms of equity and equality in the society
