AARON HUMES Reporting: A Belize City man who was socializing with friends failed to survive the holiday weekend as this morning he was found dead in a van converted into living quarters on the George Price Highway.
47 year old Arthur Conner of a Ring Road address was initially believed to have been electrocuted, but investigator, Corporal Jorge Lemus of Police Precinct #2 says further investigations by police confirmed that he was hit in the body with a stone slab, causing fatal injuries.
The likely culprit is the man he was last seen drinking with in the van, which is occupied by the watchman of the nearby foam factory who was not present at the time.
Two persons are being questioned by police but no motive has been determined for Conner’s death.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled on the body.
