AARON HUMES Reporting: The 5 year program coordinating the Central American response to HIV/AIDS, PASCA ends next week.

Today its final meeting took place in Belize City and programme specialist from Guatemala, Giovanni Melendez says the program has achieved its objectives of developing the national response to HIV/AIDS in each Central American country.

In the case of Belize, executive director of BFLA, Joan Burke, spoke to the increased capacity of locals to tackle problems with HIV.

There are more persons, for instance, trained to evaluate programs related to HIV education and awareness.

Funding support was provided by USAID.
