Tuesday, April 8, 2014. DEVON YOUNG Reporting: Residents of villages in northern Belize are the beneficiaries of a series of free medical clinics and veterinary services.

The services are being offered by the United States military working in conjunction with the Belize Agricultural Health Authority, BAHA, the Public Health Department, the Canadian army and Belize Defence Force.

Today in Chunox village, Corozal, over a thousand inhabitants got a chance to receive free general health awareness information and services.

A visiting veterinarian also provided free rabies shots for domestic and farm animals in a house-to-house visit.

The medical team’s next stop is in Progresso village on Thursday and Friday.

Next week, the same services will be offered to residents of Libertad village and surrounding areas.
