Friday, May 23, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: The Mexico-based ADO bus company is reporting moderate success of its Belize to Cancun and Belize to Merida routes.
Three years into the service, ADO says the occupancy rate is up to 60% on the Belize-Cancun route, indicating that the service is being well received by its customers.
In fact, the service numbers are so encouraging that ADO executives are thinking about putting in more routes.
But ADO’s manager in Chetumal says it all depends on whether or not the requisite permits are given by the Government of Belize.
ADO executives believe that a large part of the success of its routes out of Belize is that they provide a comfortable and convenient connection for Belizeans living in Quintana Roo and those living in Belize.
Additionally, the ADO service is providing a crucial link for Mexican tourism interests in Belize.
Grupo ADO is also in negotiations to enter other Central American countries, particularly Guatemala.

Ado should cater to office commuters. Belizean buses cannot offer a good service for the commuters
They would do much better if they had better hours and reps who speak English.
now if mexico gets off its ass and fix the exit fee scam on the border it would be great
