Thursday, June 12, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: The Belize Red Cross Society today got a special visitor from Denmark. His name is Torbjørn C. Pedersen – Thor.
And he is on a mission to visit every country in the world over the next four years without the aid of flight, so only buses, trains and ground transportation.
He has so far visited 43 countries and crossed the Mexican border into Belize Wednesday.
We met him at the Gabourel Lane headquarters of the Red Cross today and he told us that his journey started on October 10, 2013 at 10:10 a.m.
Pedersen is documenting his experience for his blog, titled “Once Upon a Saga,” as well as Twitter and Facebook.
It’s actually his second time here and he leaves at the end of the week for Guatemala.
The itinerary covers 203 countries and ends in the Pacific islands of the Seychelles, covering all continents.
