Sunday, June 15, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: There was a traffic accident early this morning on the Hummingbird Highway.

Reports are that it happened sometime after 8 o’clock this morning and involved a resident of Mile 25 on the Hummingbird Highway.

The small blue car was extensively damaged as it appears to have crashed into the sides of one of the narrow bridges.

Preliminary information received say that the the vehicle was north-bound as the driver was returning from Dangriga when the incident happened.

Photographs from the crash site indicate that the road was wet due to recent rains, but it is not known is that condition of the Hummingbird Highway had anything to do with the incident.
