Cancer practitioners work together on response

Tuesday, July 1, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: The Ministry of Health recently developed a policy on addressing non-communicable diseases including cancer.

Today it hosted representatives of public and private sector organizations working on the issue of cancer at the Radisson Hotel.

Dr. Ramon Figueroa is the head of the Planning, Policy and Analysis Unit at the Ministry and he says that out of today’s meeting with the Belize Cancer Society and others, plans will come to specifically address the national response on cancer.
