Friday, July 11, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: An approaching Tropical Wave will bring with it an increase in moisture this weekend. Skies will be cloudy at times tonight and on Saturday.
A few showers and isolated thunderstorms along coastal areas tonight and in the morning will move inland on Saturday afternoon. Winds over the open sea and along the coast will be easterly to northeasterly at ten to twenty knots.
The sea state will be moderate.
Low temperatures tonight will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland. It will be a comfortable 70 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.
High temperatures on Saturday will be around 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 93 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a warm 81 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.
The tides: there will be a high tide at 10:04 PM on Friday. A low tide will occur at 2:55 am on Saturday.
The sun will rise at 5:25 am on Saturday. It will set at 6:31 PM on Saturday.
The extended forecast valid through to Sunday evening is for cloudy skies with some showers and a few thunderstorms over most areas as a Tropical Wave crosses the country.
