Saturday, July 12, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: One of the surest tickets to a stay in the Hattieville Central Prison, it seems, is attempting to smuggle marijuana past its tight security.
But that hasn’t stopped many people from trying.
The latest attempt led to a guilty plea from 25 year old Quinn Arnold of Conch Shell Bay Road in Belize City.
On July 10 Arnold was strip-searched on entering the search area despite teling the officer she was menstruating.
The search promptly yield a small bag containing ten grams of marijuana hidden in a private area of her body.
Arnold pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance before Magistrate Hettie Mae Stuart on Friday and will be sentenced next Tuesday.
