Monday, July 21, 2013. AARON HUMES Reporting: 20 year old Giovanni Ramirez faces further charges related to an alleged attack on a fellow inmate of the Belize Central Prison.
He pleaded not guilty to charges of wounding before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer and sent back to prison until September 19 when his case resumes.
Around 10:00 a.m. on July 16, Jamal Ariola, 23, was in the prison yard when he felt a stab to the left side of his chest and then saw Ramirez carrying a piece of steel, called a “borer”, in his hand.
Ramirez, Ariola says, then attacked again, causing injuries to the hand, back and left foot.
