New Belize ambassador to Guatemala named

Wednesday, July 30, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: Prime Minister Dean Barrow today announced the appointment of Alexis Rosado as Belize’s new ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Guatemala.

Rosado who up until recently was the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will replace Alfredo Martinez who died earlier this month.

Prime Minister Barrow made the announcement of Rosado’s appointment during a press conference this morning in Belize City.

As a result of the appointment of Ambassador Rosado, Lawrence Sylvester is being reassigned from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to be the new CEO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The new CEO in the Ministry of Housing is Denton Belisle.
