Wednesday, July 30, 2014. ORANGE WALK BUREAU Reporting: A house was gutted by fire in Orange Walk town on Tuesday morning.
The 15 feet by 20 feet plywood structure with zinc roofing situated on Rio Grande Street, was owned by Olga August.
According to reports, the blaze erupted around 6 am on Tuesday.
When firemen arrived on the scene they found the building engulfed in flames and worked quickly to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.
The house and its contents were destroyed.
No one was inside the building at the time of the fire, as reports are that the owner had left to go to Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala.
Olga August is now appealing to the general public for help as she lost everything in the fire.
