Wednesday, July 30, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: Several weeks ago, Prime Minister Dean Barrow had asked the major unions – public service, teachers and senior managers – to conclude the Collective Bargaining Agreement with Government that dates back some five years.
While it appears they are still holding out, one key aspect of that agreement, the six percent salary adjustment, is now in effect.
The adjustment covers all teachers, public officers and senior personnel of the Government.
With the exception of two Methodist schools all teachers and public officers should notice a bump in their salaries.
Additionally, annual increments are now in effect for an additional 2%.
