Friday, August 1, 2014. JUAN CAAL Reporting: The University of Belize held a half-day orientation session at its Toledo campus in Punta Gorda town.
About 56 students attended the forum which highlighted the academic schedule for the institution as well as gave the students a chance to be familiarized with the rules and regulations of Belize’s national university.
Roy Polonio who is the administrator of UB Toledo says that there have been several improvements carried out at the University’s campus here and he says that these will hopefully enable a more nourishing environment for tertiary level learning to take place.
Polonio says that based on the demands, more programs are expected to be added to those already being offered by the institution so that students will no longer have to travel all the way to Belmopan or Belize City to pursue studies at those campuses.
“We are excited to work with these new students and we want to pledge our support to them in achieving quality education during their enrollment with us,” says Polonio.
