Sunday, August 3, 2014. DEVON YOUNG Reporting:  There was an early morning homicide in Orange Walk town.  Reports say the murder happened between 5:45 am and 6 am.

It happened at the Fort Cairns Plaza and preliminary indications are that he victim is young man from Corozal who was shot multiple times, including to the head.

The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending proper notification of his family.  Police have already removed the body from the area.

Preliminary information received suggests that the early morning homicide may be related to an earlier fight at a nightclub in the municipality.
