Teenage girl charged for murder of another teen

Tuesday, August 5, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: Belize City police have arrested and charged a 17 year old girl for the crime of murder.

[The girl], a student of Doris Brooks Street in Belize City, has been charged for murder in connection with the death of 16 year old Chryslin Gladden.

Police say they are looking for a man whom theybeliee will be able to further assist authorities in their investigation of the homicide.

As we have reported previously, Gladden’s body was found on Saturday morning. Gladden, a recent graduate of Wesley College, was found with multiple stab wounds over her body.

Information received suggests that Gladden was last heard from on Friday night when she reportedly told her mother in a phone converation that she was waiting for a taxi to take her home and would be home as soon as possible.

Gladden never made it home alive. Police have opened an investigation into the latest homicide as the family continues to grieve.
