Wednesday, August 6, 2014. JUAN CAAL Reporting: A five day workshop for young people is underway in Punta Gorda town.  Close to 30 young people are taking part in the event which is being held at the PG Methodist School.

They are learning about various subjects including technology and the advantage to their use, business entrepreneurship , self esteem and leadership.  These are all issues that affect young people.

One of the organizers Yvonne Nixon told the Belize Media Group that the week of having youths learning about themselves is very much needed.

Nixon says that keeping the youth positively engaged, even at home, will go a long way towards helping them become productive members of the society.

The week will conclude with a luncheon gala and a short ceremony including speeches by invited guests.
