Police investigate homicide in Trio Village

Tuesday, August 12, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: Police in Stann Creek are investigating a homicide.

According to reports, the body of 23 year old Juan Manuel Espana was found on Monday morning on a farm road about three-quarters of a mile north of Trio village.

According to information supplied by officers of the Intermediate Southern Formation in Independence village, Espana’s body showed two stab wounds, one to the right side of the chest and the other to the abdomen.

Initial investigations revealed that Espana was last seen alive around 6 PM on Sunday as he rode a bicycle in Trio village.
