Wednesday, August 13, 2014. ORANGE WALK BUREAU Reporting: The Orange Walk Town Council is reporting that it made a profit of $26,779.64 from this year’s Fiestarama and Business Expo.
The three-day event was head at the beginning of August and saw the attendance of thousands of people.
A financial report released by the Orange Walk Town Council shows that expenditure for the Fiestarama and Business Expo total $29, 344.86.
The Town Council collected $56,124.50 in fees, donations sales and gate receipts.
According to the Town Council, the proceeds of the Fiestarama and Business Expo will be invested back into the municipality including to sponsor a two-week summer jobs program for teenagers of Orange Walk town.
