Saturday, August 16, 2014. GWEN NUNEZ GONZALEZ Reporting: The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has concluded workshops for teachers in the Belmopan Area.
These Professional Development Sessions are held yearly all over the country to empower teachers and give them an opportunity to earn credits to keep their Teachers’ License.
The sessions were held at Belmopan Comprehensive High School from Monday August 4th – 14th, 2014.
Topics addressed were: Early Childhood, Learning Disabilities, CPR and First Aid, Ethics in Teaching/Teachers Selection, School Inspection, Climate Change, and Curriculum.
The teachers will be issued certificates of participation with the number of credit hours earned.
Teachers also attended sessions on Traffic Safety on Wednesday August 13th at George Price Center for Peace.
