Saturday, August 30, 2014. JUAN CAAL Reporting: The peace and tranquillity of the remote Toledo village of San Pedro Columbia was shattered tonight with the discovery of the body of one of the village elders.
The nude body of 52 year old Agripina Coc was found tonight not far from her home in the village. Because of the way that her body was found, authorities suspect that Coc was raped and murdered.
Police from Punta Gorda town has travelled to San Pedro Columbia village and have recovered the body and taken it to the morgue at the PG Hospital.
Preliminary reports say that villagers noted that they could not locate Agripina Coc around mid-afternoon and that was when a search for her started.
That search tragically ended with the discovery of her body.
Police investigations into this latest homicide have begun.
