Compassion School anniversary

Sunday, September 7, 2014. ORANGE WALK BUREAU Reporting: The Compassion School, located in Yo Creek, Orange Walk, is celebrating an important milestone. That milestone is its twenty fifth anniversary of service to the community.
The school first opened its doors in 1989 and on Friday the anniversary was marked with a special celebration.
Past students, teachers, administrators and the school’s founders, including former politician Florencio Marin, Sr., gathered to mark the important milestone.
Several presentations were made by the student body as well as token of appreciation were given to the panel at the head table.
Principal of the school, Manuel Rejon says despite their many challenges in the past, the school has managed to thrive. Presently, the school has a student population of 96 students.
