Monday, September 8, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: A man was shot and killed on Sunday morning in Belize City. The victim has been identified as 38 year old Jason Paul Paulino.

According to police, Paulino was sitting in a yard on Neal Penn Road around 9:55 am on Sunday when he was shot multiple times to the head, abdomen and left shoulder.

Police say that their investigations reveal that two men on a motorcycle arrived at the yard where Paulino was and that the passenger fired several shots at Paulino.

Authorities say that Paulino attempted to run, but that he fell and that was when the gunman stood over him and fired several shots.

Paulino was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment but died about two hours later while undergoing treatment.

Police investigations continue.
