Toledo family seeks assistance for medical emergency

Thursday, October 2, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: A family from the village of San Marcos, Toledo is appealing for the public’s assistance in getting urgent medical care for an ailing loved one.

76 year old Juan Caal has a brain tumor and requires urgent life-saving surgery.

The family has taken Mr. Caal to Guatemala City for medical treatment and doctors have informed the family that the needed surgery will cost GTQ12,000 or just over $3,100.

The family is appealing for assistance from the general public and persons wishing to assist can call 670-6397 or 674-6397.
