Fatal shooting incident in Belize City

Friday, October 3, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: A Belize City man was murdered last night. The victim has been identified as 27 year old Gerald Palmer.

According to police reports, Palmer was accosted by a lone gunman as he walked at the corner of Grants and Cards Alleys around 9:15 pm.  Several shots were fired at Palmer hitting him multiple times.

He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and police say he died around 2:24 am on Friday.

Police say they have recovered a total of 5 9 millimeter expended shells and one .380 expended shell from the scene.

Investigations continue.
