Saturday, October 4, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: A shooting incident in Belize City on Friday night has left one man injured.
Police have not yet confirmed, but the victim has been identified to us as 32 year old Harrison Smith.
According to reports received, Smith was shot multiple times at the corner of North Front and Pickstock Streets in Belize City.
He was taken to the KHMH for treatment.
A second man identified as 23-year-old Eustace Lewis was also injuried in the shooting incident and was taken to the KHMH for treatment for gunshot injuries to the left buttocks
In other crime news from the old capital, an early morning stabbing incident has left one man hospitalized.
The victim has been identified as 33 year old Richard Smith.
According to police reports the stabbing happened just before 2 am on Green Street in the Belama Phase Four area of Belize City.
Initial investigations show that Smith was socializing with another man, known to him, when he was stabbed, allegedly by the man he was socializing with.
Smith was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and police say he is listed in a stable condition.
Authorities are now looking for the man who stabbed Smith.
