Taiwanese trade delegation visits Belize

Friday, October 3, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: The Republic of China (Taiwan)’s Central American Trade Office (CATO) and representatives of private companies have concluded a working visit to Belize.

From September 27 to 30 a seven member delegation visited Belize to explore the potential opportunities for cooperation and to promote the trade relationship between Belize and Taiwan.

Representatives of Chong-Wai Medical Instruments Limited and Speed Technology Limited met with local agencies including Belize Eletricity Limited (BEL), BELTRAIDE, Belize Medical Associates, Belize Healthcare Partners Limited (BHPL), and the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and put in a visit to San Pedro Town as well.

The companies signed agreements of cooperation with BHPL and BEL.

The Embassy of the ROC says it will continue to foster the ties between the two countries with regular bilateral visits for businessmen and government officials.
