Charges for attack on Government vehicle

Monday, October 6, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: Shaqeem Humes has been charged with aggravated assault and damage to property for an incident occurring nearly three months ago.

On July 17 Humes is alleged to have pointed a firearm at Carlos McKenzie who was in a vehicle belonging to the Government of Belize and fired shots at him.

McKenzie escaped injury but the front and rear windshield of the vehicle was damaged to a total of $2,325.

Humes pleaded not guilty before Chief Magistrate Ann-Marie Smith and was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until November 17.
