Wednesday, October 15, 2014. ORANGE WALK BUREAU Reporting: Motorists in Orange Walk town are facing huge potholes on their daily commute through the municipality.
Work is currently being carried out to rehabilitate the portion of the Phillip Goldson Highway that passes through Orange Walk town; but still drivers are having to manoeuvre their vehicles through potholes which are now commonplace.
Part of the headache for motorists is created by simultaneous works being carried out by Belize Water Services in upgrading their water mains and systems.
It is a case of progress brings problems, as when the road works is completed, the driving experience will be much improved.
But in the meantime, the potholes-riddles streets are taking a toll on vehicles, not to mention the patience of the motoring public as well.
The advice from the Traffic Department: drive carefully and adhere to all rules when commuting through Orange Walk town.
