Thursday, October 16, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: At Wednesday’s press conference PUP leader Francis Fonseca revealed information about plans by the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to name a Guatemalan company as a major source of electric supply for Belize.

Because anti-Guatemalan feelings are stirring the PUP is asking the PUC to provide details.

No names were called but Fonseca said that it was necessary to bring the matter up because of the current climate.

The PUC earlier put out a call to companies to provide both renewable and standard energy sources such as petroleum, hydroelectricity, natural gas and others.
