Friday, October 17, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: Police have charged the man they say raped a woman on October 12.
Twenty-seven year old Jaime Andrews, a fisherman of lavender Street, was charged with rape when he appeared today before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith.
No plea was taken because the offence is indictable.
Andrews was denied bail and he was remanded into custody until October 21.
The incident occurred on October 12 when the woman reported to the police that a man she identified as Andrews had sex with her without her consent.
