Sunday, October 19, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: Police in Belize City have arrested and charged a man suspected of driving a passenger bus while under the influence of alcohol.
44 year old William Ayala, a resident of Benque Viejo del Carmen was charged for the crime of “drove motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit.”
Police say that on Friday afternoon, they came across a Guerra’s Bus parked on the right side of the George Price Highway at mile one and a half in Belize City.
Police say that as they approached the driver, Ayala, he reeked of alcohol.
Ayala was notified by the police that they suspected that he was driving the bus while under the influence of alcohol.
Ayala was taken to the Racoon Street police station where a urine sample was taken for testing.
When police got the results back, they charged him.
