Thursday, October 30, 2014. JUAN CAAL Reporting: Teachers from the Toledo district today attended a day-long workshop which focused on improving the health and nutrition for children in their classrooms.
According to Joan Palma, the Health and Family Life Education officer, the training provided theoretical ideas for the teachers who will in turn now go back to their respective classrooms to do the practical work.
Today’s training was held at the St. Peter Claver School compound and participants were taught how to engage the children in eating healthy and in practicing good hygiene.
The workshop was part of a project funded by the Japanese Social Development Fund.
