Friday, October 31, 2014. JUAN CAAL Reporting: A first of its kind Yellow Ginger Fest is being held today in Punta Gorda town.
The event is organized by the East Indian Council in collaboration with the National Institute for Culture and History and coordinated by Lourdes Coleman.
According to Coleman, today’s Yellow Ginger Fest is part of a series of activities held at the end of every month to promote the East Indian culture and history.
Among the highlights of today’s event are cultural performances, displays and speeches by community leaders.
Of course traditional East Indian food such as Tacari Conch, beef liver Tacari will be on sale during the Yellow Ginger Fest.
It promises to be a day of fun and Coleman invites the general public to come out to the Punta Gorda Central Park to experience the East Indian Culture in a fun way.just to mention a few.
