A New Queen Wears the Crown for Miss Garifuna Primary Belmopan

Friday, November 14, 2014. GWEN NUNEZ GONZALEZ Reporting: Five Primary school students represented with all they had on Thursday afternoon, November 13, to wear the crown of Miss Garifuna Belmopan.

The pageant was held at the Belmopan Civic Center but only one got it after almost two hours of presentation.

Katia Reyes, Miss Our Lady of Guadalupe Garifuna walked away with the crown, which was held by Garden City Primary School under the care of Neveah Ramos.

Second place went to Triesha Arzu of United Evergreen Primary, third was Marilyn Flores from St. Martin’s Government School, and consolation Prizes went to Maria Flores  of Garden City and Sole Meighan from St. Ann’s Anglican.

First Place receives a Tablet, second place won a $200.00 bank account, third $100.00 bank account and consolation prizes were children’s book by Mali Cayetano.

The ladies represented their schools well.

Praises must be given to the teachers, principals, and parents for their support.

Congratulations to Katia Reyes and Our Lady of Guadalupe, R.C. job well done.
