UB students hold Expo in Punta Gorda town

Tuesday, November 18, 2014. JUAN CAAL Reporting: The Toledo campus of the University of Belize today hosted an exposition in Punta Gorda town.

The venue for the UB Expo was the Fr. Francis Ring Parish Hall and organizers say the purpose of the day’s event was to foster an exchange of ideas and experiences.

According to UB Lecturer Dorla Bowman the Expo was designed to give students an opportunity for practical experiences of the theory in their business studies from the classroom.

During the course of the Expo, students displayed products and items they have created as group assignments.

Each group will be judged on how they marketed their products.

Ms.Bowman says that this experience will allow her students to have a better idea of the many challenges and also opportunities out in the real world and be in a better position to carry out their own businesses successfully.
