Butane price goes down

Thursday, November 20, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: Starting Friday, November 21, Belizeans will be paying less for butane gas.
A press release sent out by the Supplies Control Unit of the Ministry of Trade this afternoon announced that a new price structure goes into place on Friday that will see consumers paying $6 less per one hundred pound cylinder of butane, also known as Liquid Petroleum Gas.
This means that consumers in Belize City will pay $109, while consumers in Punta Gorda town will pay $114 for a one hundred pound cylinder of butane imported from Mexico.
The price in other areas are: $111 in Belmopan and San Ignacio; $112 in Benque Viejo del Carmen; $110 in Orange Walk; $109 in Corozal and $113 in Dangriga.
For consumers of butane gas imported from Central America, the price of a one hundred pound cylinder is also going down by $6.
In Belize City, consumers will pay $106 and in Punta Gorda they will pay $111 for a tank of butane.
The price in other areas are $108 in Belmopan and San Ignacio; $109 in Benque Viejo del Carmen; $107 in Orange Walk; $106 in Corozal and $110 in Dangriga.
