Monday, November 24, 2014. ORANGE WALK BUREAU Reporting: For the fourth year running, Orange Walk town this past weekend hosted the much-anticipated Tacos Fest.
Organizers say this year’s event was a huge success, bringing in a large crowd of tacos lovers from all over the country.
About a dozen taqueros took part in the event which was held on Sunday and featured tacos prepared in various delicious ways, much to the delight of those attending this year’s Tacos Fest.
The riverside underneath the Banquitas House of Culture was the venue for Sunday’s Tacos Fest; and while the tasty tacos was the main feature, other activities for the day included the New River canoe race and a greasy pole competition.
Organizers say the Tacos Fest is a staple event that people look forward to on a yearly basis.
