Early morning shooting in Belize City

Friday, November 28, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: An early morning shooting incident in Belize City has left one man dead.

Information received say the shooting happened just before 7 o’clock this morning.

More information on this incident will be posted during the course of the day.

UPDATE:  Police have issued a brief report on this morning’s homicide.  Here is the release sent out by the police press officer, Raphael Martinez:  “On the 28.11.14 at about 6:41 .m., 35-year-old Emmerson Arnold of a Lakeview Street address in Belize City was shot multiple times while on Gibnut Street in Belize City. He was transported to the KHMH where he was pronounced dead at 6:50 a.m. Police have since detained one man as investigations continue.”
