Refreshing rain

Monday, December 1, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: A relatively moist northeasterly airflow is the dominating factor in our weather at the start of the work week.
The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for cloudy skies today with a few showers and periods of rain along southern areas through tonight.
Winds over the open sea and along the coast will be northeasterly at 5 to 15 knots. The sea state will be choppy.
High temperatures today will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 84 degrees Fahrenheit inland. It will be a comfortable 73 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.
Low temperatures tonight will be around 72 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 68 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a chilly 64 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.
The tides: there will be a low tide at 11:34 am. A high tide follows at 5:54 pm and another low tide at 12:40 am on Tuesday.
The sun will set at 5:17 pm. The sun will rise at 6:07 am on Tuesday.
The extended forecast, valid through to Wednesday afternoon is for cloudy spells with a few showers mainly in the southern part of the country.
