Belize City lights up the municipal Christmas Tree

Wednesday, December 3, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: Tonight Belize City residents were out in numbers welcoming the arrival of the Christmas season with the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree.

The event took place in Mule Park in Market Square in the center of the commercial area of the old capital.

The Christmas Tree is sponsored by Bowen and Bowen and stands about 7 feet tall.

Belize City Mayor Darrell Bradley presided over festivities and even showed off a few dance moves on stage with featured performer TR Shine.

The Christmas Tree will be up through the end of December.
