Plane ends up in the Caribbean Sea

Thursday, December 4, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: A plane belonging to Tropic Air appears to have overshot the runway at the Municipal Airstrip in Belize City this afternoon and landed in the Caribbean Sea.
Details are slowly starting to emerge, but confirmed reports are that the incident happened around 2:30 pm when Flight 281 enroute from San Pedro to the Municipal Airstrip went off the runway while attempting to land.
The plane ended up in the shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea.
According to reports, there were five passengers and the pilot on board.
There are no reports on injury.
