Another suicide reported in Stann Creek

Monday, December 8, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: Another incident of suicide as well as an attempted suicide have been reported in the Stann Creek district.

As we had reported previously 13 year old Lydia Pop took her life on Saturday night in Red Bank village.

Her body was found hanging by the girl’s mother.

Police say the suicide followed a misunderstanding between the girl and her mother.

The other suicide happened on Friday night in Bella Vista village, Stann Creek.

Police say 20 year old Maria Rosaria Caal hung herself after a misunderstanding with her husband.

Police further reported that 22 year old Jenaro Caal attempted to end his own life the following morning.

Jenaro Caal was taken to the Southern Regional hospital where police say he is listed in a stable condition.
