Standard 6 student from Orange Walk wins national reading competition

Tuesday, December 9, 2014. ORANGE WALK BUREAU Reporting: Meet Roshelle Flores.  She is a Standard 6 student at the La Inmaculada Roman Catholic Primary School in Orange Walk town.

She was recently crowned as the best reader in all of Belize when she captured the national reading competition at the end of last month, which was sponsored by the National Library Service.

The La Inmaculada RC School did very well in this year’s competition as not only did Roshelle Flores captured the national championship; but her classmate Valerie Blanco captured third place in the same competition.

Flores and Blanco were recognized at a small ceremony during school mass on Monday morning.

Congratulations Roshelle Flores.
