Buttonwood Bay Nazarene School receives computer lab

Wednesday, December 10, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: The student body of Buttonwood Bay Nazarene Primary School got to celebrate a renovated computer lab delivered through the Belize City Council.

The school, located along Coney Drive, has a population of 223 and has had to scrap for what it can get.

Principal Amelia Bencomo said the site of the lab was formerly a classroom, and even when it seemed hopeless, the school and its staff followed the Biblical principle of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Darrell Bradley

Mayor Darrell Bradley says the Council and its other sponsors got involved through the efforts of an in-house group specializing in community projects.

They were responsible for the entire upgrade and computer package and it was gratifying to him to see the children taking full advantage of the lab’s resources.

In his address he encouraged the students to be appreciative and take what they have and share it with the world.
